About Ben

Ben Healey graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2023 and joined Kelley Engineered Equipment in Seattle, WA. Since then, he has earned his E.I.T. certificate and gained multiple years of experience designing custom mechanical equipment. His work includes projects such as the Segment Erector for the Fort Laramie Digger Shield, the Kiewit I-40 Girder Gantry and complex rail cars like the Skanska Invert Segment Placer and the WMATA Flat Cars.

What hobbies do you have in your free time?

Outside of work I enjoy quality time with my wife, photographing nature, hiking, cooking, and watching the Mariners and Seahawks.


What's something most folks don't know about you?

I worked for the Seattle Mariners for 5 years, including fielding foul balls for fans during the games.


Where were you born and raised?

I grew up in the South Puget Sound region.
